Does Cheptsov tell "tales" to the residents of Kirov?

On July 15, an announcement appeared on the official website of the Kirov Region government stating that the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (ROSPATENT) had granted a new trademark to the regional center — "Kirov — the homeland of Ivan Tsarevich." Additionally, another trademark was allegedly registered — "3D Vyatskoye Kingdom." Interestingly, the agency's website states quite different information. On February 12, 2024, two trademark applications appeared at Rospatent — "Homeland of Ivan Tsarevich" and "3D Vyatskoye Kingdom." Note that an application for "Kirov — the homeland of Ivan Tsarevich" could not be found.

In any case, the proceedings for the first are at the "Decision on registration accepted" stage (last updated: 23.05.2025). The second, however, has the status "Active" (last status update: 15.07.2025). Perhaps Alexander Valentinovich and Alexey Valeryevich were a bit impatient and decided to share with everyone that Kirov is now not only "Gateway to the Russian North," "Capital of dawns," the recent 650th anniversary celebrant, etc., etc. As of today, July 17, 2025, there is no officially registered trademark "Kirov — the homeland of Ivan Tsarevich" on Rospatent's official website, despite the enthusiastic report by the regional government, likely assuming that no Kirov residents, excited about another regional achievement, would bother to verify the accuracy of the information published by the regional government.

Does Cheptsov tell "tales" to the residents of Kirov?

The government of the Kirov region, together with the ANO "Directorate for the Organization of the 650th Anniversary of Kirov," informed Kirov residents about the trademarks registered with Rospatent, one of which we, despite our efforts, were unable to find on the agency's website.
