An aggressive 23-year-old from Kirov with prior convictions received a 3.5-year sentence in a high-security prison.
On August 17 of last year, a 23-year-old resident of Kirov hit a passerby with a bottle on the head after colliding with him on the alley near house No. 225 on Pavla Korchagina Street. The injury, a contused wound of the temple, is considered in forensic terms to have caused minor harm to health.
Additionally, on October 6 of the same year, this young man beat another man, breaking his ribs, near house No. 21 on 8 Marta Street. They had an altercation, prompted by the pedestrian’s refusal to compensate for damage to the side mirror of the car operated by the defendant. The vehicle was actually damaged due to the defendant’s aggressive driving style, when the victim, on the roadway, could not avoid touching the mirror with his hand.
A criminal case was opened against the previously convicted 23-year-old resident of Kirov. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm) and Paragraph "v" of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of light harm to health).
The court agreed with the prosecutor's opinion and, considering his prior convictions, sentenced the young man to three years and six months of imprisonment. The defendant attempted to appeal the verdict in the appellate court, but his appeal was rejected, and the verdict remained legally valid. The repeat offender will serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony, where he will be escorted by guards.
