The Kirov region is being cleaned from trash.
The work on the elimination of solid waste dumps has been ongoing since 2012. To date, 77% of the dumps on 416 sites in the region have been cleaned up, according to the regional government.
Over the past year, four large dumps in Uninsky, Murashinsky, Urzhumsky, and Yarsky districts have been eliminated. A total of 44 hectares of land have been cleared. Two more dumps are scheduled for removal this year, and work on their elimination has already begun.
As reported by the regional government, 30 out of 46 unauthorized dumps have been eliminated on the territory of the forest fund in Kirovo-Chepetsky, Slobodskoy, Nagorsky districts, and the city of Kirov. The total volume of waste removed amounted to 770.11 cubic meters. Funds for these works were allocated from the district budgets.
