
In the Kirov region, only half of the beaches are open for swimming.
According to the department, as of July 9, out of 35 officially designated water recreation sites, only 17 have a sanitary and epidemiological conclusion.
Officially permitted bathing sites include:
the village of Ichetovkiyny,
Beloholunitsky Pond (Belaya Kholuitsa),
Bolshoy Kirsinsky Pond (Kirs),
Kokshaga River (Kiknur settlement),
Kilmyez River near the bridge (Kilmyezsky district),
Vyatka River (Vishkil village),
Moloma River (Leningranskaya Iskra settlement),
"Mirny" Vyatka River (Chieglakovskoe rural settlement),
Pizhanka River (Pizhanka settlement),
Lezhninskoye Lake (near Sharygino),
Omutninsk Reservoir (Omutninsk),
Vachrushi Pond (Vachrushi settlement),
Pizhma River (Sovetsk),
Lamba River (Savinovo village),
the mouth of the Cheptsa River (Kirovo-Cechpetsk),
the left bank of the Vyatka River (Slobodskoy),
the area of the old bridge on the Vyatka River (Kirov).
Additionally, the use of water bodies for recreation is permitted at the section of Lake Holunovo in Sidorovka settlement, Kirov (ROO "Kirov Region Water Skiing Federation"), the "Riba-Pila" beach, and the beach of the Mitino sanatorium.
Since the start of the season, specialists have collected and tested 169 water samples. No pathogenic microorganisms or parasites were detected — the water complies with standards.
Rospotrebnadzor remind that swimming is safer where there is official permission. Recommends also that bathers do not swallow water and only drink boiled or bottled water.
