Kirov does not plan to celebrate the City Day, which has been celebrated for decades on June 12. Instead, events will be held in the city as part of the celebration of Russia Day.

It should be noted that the question of whether Kirov will celebrate the City Day on June 12 remained unanswered. As well as the question of whether any festive events are planned on the "new official" City Day, which Governor Sokolov appointed on September 22.
