The Kirov region's economic health has deteriorated
Experts have divided the Russian regions according to their economic health in 2024. The first group is "enhanced health" (1A, 2A, 3A). This includes Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sakhalin Oblast, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and 20 other regions. The second group is "above average" (1B). The third group, which includes the Kirov Region, is "Below average" (3B).
Note that more than half of the regions belong to the second and third groups (53). Eight more fell into the fourth category — "poor health" (1C and 2C).
Previously, the Kirov region could boast of a 2B indicator, that is, its economic health was "average". However, the situation has worsened since then.
