The case of the torture of a child in Kirovo-Chepetsk went to court.
In the period from November last year to March this year, a 36-year-old resident of Kirovo-Chepetsk systematically beat her daughter with a belt on her body and limbs. The reason for this was poor academic performance.
During the examination, the school nurse saw injuries on the girl's body, and the child explained that her mother was beating her because of unsatisfactory grades at school. A criminal case was opened against the woman under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture of a minor).
At the moment, the investigation of the criminal case has been completed. The girl was taken from her mother and placed in a temporary detention center for children and adolescents. The woman fully admitted her guilt, gave detailed and consistent testimony about the circumstances of the incident.
UK investigators have collected exhaustive evidence incriminating the defendant in the commission of the alleged act, and therefore the criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
