Russian driving schools will evaluate and rate them.

The Russian authorities plan to develop a system for evaluating the effectiveness of driving schools and rating them, Kommersant reports.

Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted that the quality of driving schools will be assessed according to certain indicators, which will include the results of exams at the State Traffic Inspectorate, as well as emergency situations faced by graduates of a particular school. The rating will be posted online and will be available to everyone. "It will significantly improve the quality of motorist training, reduce the number of accidents and make roads safer," Mikhail Mishustin said.

The publication writes that according to the traffic police, in Russia at the end of 2024 there were more than 7.5 thousand driving schools, of which 5.9 thousand were trained for category B (passenger cars). If the draft law is adopted by the deputies, then specific criteria and methods for evaluating driving schools will be developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
