Dangerous beauty: allergist named cosmetics that can cause cancer

      Cosmetics with formaldehyde and formalin donors can cause the development of cancer, the Saratov 24 TV channel reports with reference to allergologist and immunologist Natalia Popova.

      The allergologist reported that preservatives such as formaldehyde and donor formalin are often used to prevent bacterial growth. "But they are very toxic in themselves. Exposure to formaldehyde provokes the development of contact dermatitis, respiratory diseases and can cause cancers," the expert noted.

      The specialist noted that parabens, which are common in the cosmetics industry due to their ability to preserve the freshness of the product, are also dangerous. These substances are able to easily penetrate the skin and mimic estragen hormones, which disrupts the endocrine system. All this, the allergist noted, increases the risk of developing allergies and dermatitis.

      Natalia Popova also recalled that mineral oil and paraffin create a very dense film on the skin, which interferes with normal skin respiration and metabolism. All this can provoke the appearance of acne due to clogged skin pores.
