Kirov residents were told what plasticwatching is

As the regional operator explained, plasticwatching is the search and collection of scattered plastic in a certain area, as well as sorting and studying its composition. So, first, a group of like-minded people is created. They select a location (beach, park, or riverbank), then conduct an analysis (photograph and record information about the plastic found, brand, and quantity), and at the end of the study, sort the fractions and recycle them.

Plasticwatching is necessary to see the scale of the problem: it helps to realize how much plastic garbage surrounds us and where it comes from, and plasticwatching helps to identify "plastic pollutants": the data collected helps to determine which items most often pollute the environment and which companies produce the most plastic garbage.

Participation in such initiatives develops an eco-cultural lifestyle and forms a responsible attitude towards waste. This plays an important role in achieving the goals of the national Environmental Well-Being project, which aims to reduce environmental pollution and preserve natural resources for future generations.
