Governor Sokolov began the direct line by reporting 700 questions received from residents of the Kirov region. He noted that it would not be possible to answer everything in a straight line, but everyone who asked a question and identified a problem would receive an answer to the appeal.
Then the governor began to talk about the construction of schools in Kirov and the region. He reported, apparently, the same information that was announced at the weekly meeting, that schools in Kirov are under construction and several educational facilities will be ready this year. In particular, the school in the village of Kurochkiny. According to Sokolov, it is planned to be completed in June, and in September children will go there to study.
The governor was asked why it only happens in new schools and does not happen in those that require major repairs. In response, the head of the region noted that he visits not only new schools. Sokolov also said that major repairs of 18 schools are planned for 2026 in the Kirov region. The governor advised parents, if they see that their child's school needs major repairs, to contact the management of the educational institution, since each school can independently "enter the competition" and receive funding for major repairs.
Sokolov also noted the salaries of teachers, as well as payments to young professionals. According to the governor, the average salary of a teacher with classroom guidance is 52 thousand rubles, without classroom guidance — about 46 thousand rubles. The governor noted that in addition to salaries, various payments are provided for teachers, for example, for a student's successful passing of the Unified State Exam. Sokolov noted that teaching is extremely difficult. "I know by myself, I am a teacher by education and started working as a teacher," the governor noted and stressed that teachers should be treated with extreme respect.
During a conversation with Kirov residents, Sokolov told about the beginning of the construction of a tunnel under the Trans—Siberian Railway, and that this is a very difficult project in terms of execution, that the Kirov region has been working for a long time to start the construction of the tunnel, that the inconveniences that residents of Novovyatsk will experience, first of all, are temporary, and "convenience" they will be felt and will affect all Kirov residents, especially those who regularly travel across the Trans-Siberian Railway towards Chepetsk and back.
In between discussions, voicing plans and tasks, the governor also answered questions from the moderators of the direct line. In particular, Sokolov noted that there are a lot of questions about roads and landscaping. As for roads, as the governor noted, it is planned to repair about 300 kilometers of roads in the region this year: more than last year.
As for landscaping, Sokolov called on Kirov residents to go out on clean-up days, noting that he himself, members of the government and the governor's administration would go out on a clean-up day in the near future.
The Governor was also asked a question about the crematorium. Alexander Sokolov stressed that there would be no crematorium in the place where it was planned. "You can't put this facility next to residential areas," Sokolov said. He said that he had instructed the city authorities to look for a site where a crematorium could be located. "The fact that Kirov needs a crematorium is a fact. The city is big, it is developing. And there are not enough places for cemeteries. The only option is to build a crematorium. But it should be far from residential areas," Sokolov stressed.
