Competition for jobs has increased dramatically in the Kirov region

According to the service's analytics hh.ru In the Kirov region, there is a rapid increase in competition for jobs. If in the spring of 2024 there were 2.7 resumes per vacancy, now there are already 5. This means that the level of competition has increased by more than two points in just one year.

Experts attribute the situation to the fact that in 2025, residents of the region have become significantly more active in the labor market: they began to update their resumes more often and look for new employment options. In the last month alone, the activity of applicants in the Kirov region has increased by 47%.

At the same time, it is noted that increased competition arises mainly in those areas where there was no shortage of personnel before. White—collar workers (office specialists), HR, and consultants are entering the market more actively, while in truly scarce industries the influx of workers is still minimal.

The greatest competition is observed in the fields of art and mass media (more than 20 people per vacancy), top management (over 16 candidates for a place) and security (also more than 16). A significant increase in competition was recorded among business consultants (+5 points), HR and HR specialists (+4), as well as service personnel (+4).

Analysts emphasize that although the current level of competition (4.8–5 resumes per vacancy) is still within the norm, the upward trend remains, which may affect the labor market in the coming months.
