Mobile ONCOpost will arrive in Omutninsky district
On Saturday, April 26, the ONCOpost field event will be held at the Omutninsk Central District Hospital polyclinic. Patient registration will begin at 7 a.m. and last until 2 p.m., and specialist appointments will start at 8 a.m. The event is aimed at early detection of oncological diseases in residents of Omutninsky and Afanasyevsky districts over the age of 18.
As part of the campaign, the reception will be conducted by Kirov oncologists of various profiles: dermatologists, mammologists, urologists, ENT specialists and gynecologists. Ultrasound diagnostics (strictly according to indications) and mammography are also provided for women aged 40 years and older. It is expected that about 400-500 people will be examined. Specialist consultations will be free of charge and will not require referral. It should be noted that blood sampling for cancer markers is not included in the screening program.
Other specialists will also join the event. The staff of the Health Center will offer an express blood test for cholesterol and glucose levels, as well as measure height and weight. Dentists of the Kirov Dental Center will examine the mucous membranes of the mouth, lips and tongue to identify oncopathologies. Autofluorescence stomatoscopy will be used to detect potentially dangerous areas of the mucous membrane.
Medical volunteers will share information about cancer prevention and the basics of a healthy lifestyle with visitors. Those who wish will be able to learn the rules of breast self-examination.
