Fraudsters began hacking into the "Public Services" of Russians under the pretext of medical examination

According to the Interior Ministry, the first incidents were reported in April 2025. This is reported by "Газета.

ги The fraudulent scheme consists of several stages:

The first call is received allegedly from an employee of the polyclinic, who informs about the need to undergo a medical examination through Gosuslugi. To do this, the victim is asked to name the code from the SMS message received when logging into his personal account.

After gaining access to the account, a second call follows from the "support service", which reports the alleged hacking. The victim is persuaded to contact Rosfinmonitoring and provide photos of bank cards.

To increase their credibility, scammers use professionally designed communication scenarios and create fake websites that are almost identical to the real Gosuslugi portal.

It is important to remember that real employees of government services never request SMS codes and bank card details over the phone. In case of such calls, you should immediately stop the conversation and report the attempted fraud to law enforcement agencies.
