Butina sent a parliamentary inquiry on the Dolgikh case
State Duma deputy Maria Butina sent a request to the prosecutor of the Kirov region after appeals from citizens in defense of lawyer Anton Dolgikh. This is reported in the lawyer's Telegram channel.
The post states that the appeal to the deputy was one of many letters sent to various state authorities, including the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General's Office. Dolgikh thanked Butina for her participation and attached to the post an official response from the State Duma, signed by the deputy.
"Sincere thanks to Maria Valeryevna Butina for her concern, participation and sending a deputy request to the prosecutor of the Kirov region," Dolgikh wrote. In the post, he also quoted a line from the movie "Shawshank Redemption," hinting at a long wait for a reaction from the authorities.
On April 11, the Pervomaisky court extended the measure of restraint for Anton Dolgikh. The lawyer will remain in jail for another two months and two days.
