Deputies of the LDPR faction intend to submit to the State Duma a bill on the return of a 50% discount on timely payment of fines for traffic violations. This was announced on April 4 by Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, in his Telegram channel.
According to the parliamentarian, the initiative will be a logical continuation of the draft law proposed by the head of the Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Vasily Piskarev. We are talking about the possibility of receiving a 50% discount on administrative fines in the economic sphere if they are paid quickly after a prosecutor's check.
As a reminder, changes came into force on January 1, 2025, according to which the discount on traffic fines was reduced from 50% to 25%. The law on tougher penalties for a number of violations was signed by President Vladimir Putin on December 26, 2024.
