Kirov residents were reminded about vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis

According to the agency, there are two vaccination schemes: basic and emergency. The main one includes two vaccinations with an interval of one to seven months, and then the third one after 5-12 months. After that, the revaccination is carried out every three years. The emergency scheme reduces the gap between the first and second vaccination and is applied before the start of the tick activity season.

Experts recommend getting vaccinated in advance, as it is safe to visit forests only two weeks after the second dose. Vaccination is available both at the expense of personal funds, as well as at the expense of employers and the regional budget for certain categories of citizens (for example, schoolchildren and pensioners).
