Boris Vesnin: "Thanks to the teamwork in Vakhryushi, the Alley of Glory has been improved."
The initiative to create the Alley of Glory emerged thanks to the residents of Vakhrushe and the municipality. The project was supported by State Duma deputy Rahim Azimov. From the early stages, the implementation of the initiative was coordinated by Boris Vesnin, the deputy director of the branch of the "URALCHEM" company.
This year, paving stones were laid, a central memorial composition and commemorative plaques were installed, the sidewalk was repaired, and the area was improved and landscaped. Almost 3 million rubles of extrabudgetary funds were attracted for the creation of the memorial part.
"For me, as for everyone who participated in the implementation of the initiative, this is a particularly important project. Because it is not just about improving the area — we are creating a place that will preserve the memory of the people who defended the Motherland and gave their lives for it. It is very important that this idea was born from the residents themselves and went through the entire process with them — from conception to implementation," noted Boris Vesnin.
The memorial zone has become part of the public space that residents use daily. In the future, the area may become a venue for commemorative events, meetings, and patriotic actions. "The Alley of Glory is a place of memory and a place of pride for the feat of our heroic fellow countrymen. This is a significant event for Vakhrushe and for the entire Slobodsky district. We are grateful to Boris Gennadyevich Vesnin for his help and contribution to preserving our history," said Lyudmila Manilova, director of the RCCD of the Slobodsky district.
The creation of the Alley of Glory has become an example of how the initiative of residents, the support of deputies, and the joint work of the municipality and public activists allow for the realization of significant projects for the area.
