In Sovetsk, a local resident born in 2000 will stand trial, accused of 15 thefts from stores. The man stole a total of 57 cans of expensive instant coffee worth nearly 37,000 rubles.
As established by the police, the man would enter self-service stores and choose a moment when no one was watching him. After that, he would hide the coffee in his clothing pockets or backpack and leave without paying for the goods.
In a month, the suspect managed to steal coffee from four supermarkets in Sovetsk. In total, he is charged with six thefts, seven minor thefts committed after an administrative penalty, and two robberies.
Another attempt ended with his detention. Store employees noticed the man with the stolen goods and stopped him as he tried to escape.
During the investigation, the accused was placed under house arrest. The criminal case, with an approved indictment from the prosecutor, has now been sent to the Sovetsk District Court.
