In Kirov, drivers will be mass checked for sobriety.

      According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, the events will involve not only police officers but also civic activists, representatives of voluntary people's patrols, and the "Night Patrol" organization. Drivers are reminded that driving a vehicle while intoxicated carries a fine of 45,000 rubles and a license suspension for a period of one and a half to two years. The State Traffic Inspectorate also noted that all patrol cars of the traffic police are equipped with video recorders. They are used to prevent conflict situations and corruption risks from both police officers and road users. Violations can be reported to the police.
