Investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Yaransk" have initiated a criminal case against an individual entrepreneur from the Sanchursky district. The woman is suspected of illegal logging of forest plantations on a particularly large scale.
As established by the employees of the economic security and anti-corruption group, the entrepreneur organized illegal timber harvesting with the help of a logging team. At the same time, the logging was disguised as citizens harvesting wood for personal needs.
A total of 220 cubic meters of forest were illegally cut down. The damage to the forest fund amounted to 1 million 13 thousand rubles, which is considered particularly large.
The criminal case has been initiated under part 3 of article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Investigators are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident and conducting the necessary procedural activities.
