Novak called the situation in the fuel market tense.
Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the situation in the domestic fuel market remains tense. According to him, this is due to the traditional summer increase in demand and unscheduled repairs at oil refineries.
As reported by "Gazeta.ru," at a meeting in the government's situation center, Novak noted that authorities are considering additional measures to saturate the domestic market with petroleum products.
"We will consider the balance of production and consumption, the execution of previously given instructions, and additional measures to saturate the petroleum products market," the deputy prime minister said.
Special attention, he said, is planned to be given to ensuring fuel supply to the Irkutsk region, the Trans-Baikal Territory, and the southern regions of Russia, where active agricultural work is currently ongoing.
It is worth noting that a tense situation was also observed in Kirov the day before. As previously reported by Newsler.ru, on the evening of July 6, most Lukoil gas stations in the city were closed "for technical reasons." At the remaining operational gas station on Pотребкооперации Street, motorists were forced to wait in line for up to 40 minutes.
A rush also occurred at other networks — "Dvizhenie" and "Irbis." Lines at some gas stations extended onto the roadway, and the price of fuel reached 80–83 rubles per liter of AI-95 gasoline.
