The Prosecutor's Office of the Orichevsky District conducted an inspection of the legality of the use of a forest plot by one of the tenants in the territory of the Orichevsky Forestry. The inspection was prompted by information about illegal logging causing damage exceeding 250,000 rubles.
During the examination of the materials of the criminal case initiated under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal logging of forest plantations), it was established that the unlawful actions were committed as a result of the tenant's failure to ensure proper control during the development of the forest and the harvesting of timber.
The prosecutor submitted a claim to the court demanding compensation for the damage caused to the forest fund of the Russian Federation from the forest user to the municipal budget. The court recognized the claims of the supervisory authority as lawful and justified and ordered the tenant to pay the corresponding compensation.
The execution of the court's decision has been taken under control.
