Scammers disguised the website as Roskomnadzor.
Attention of Russian users has been drawn to a new method of deception: a resource has been discovered on the internet that is completely styled to resemble the official website of Roskomnadzor. This information has been confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
As the agency's employees found out, the fraudsters independently registered the domain RKN24.RU and gave it the appearance of an information portal associated with the supervisory authority. The fake page contains typical elements of government resources: reference blocks, a feedback form, and even a catalog with names and photographs of supposedly working employees.
The peculiarity of the scheme is that the portraits, biographies, and service numbers published on the fake website are used for credibility. When directly contacting a potential victim, the scammers offer to verify the authenticity of the "employee's" data through this very resource. The user sees familiar attributes and loses vigilance, reports the online publication "Vesti.Ru."
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized: the domain RKN24.RU has no relation to the real Roskomnadzor. All information about people on this site is part of a legend created solely to increase trust in the scammers.
