Sokolova was sent off to a well-deserved retirement.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kirov Region reported on the ceremonial farewell of a veteran. Alexey Sokolov, the assistant chief of the duty shift of the fire extinguishing service, has gone on well-deserved retirement. He has nearly 35 years of service in fire protection. As noted by his colleagues, Alexey Vitalyevich's professional path includes hundreds of combat missions and dozens of saved lives. The farewell from his position did not follow the standard script. To the applause of his comrades, fire sirens were sounded for the veteran. Additionally, following established tradition, water from fire hoses was directed at Alexey Sokolov — symbolically washing away the soot and grime accumulated over years of work. The agency thanked Sokolov for his service, noting that such farewells are a sign of respect for his many years of labor.
