In Kirov, pigs without passports led the owner to a fine.

      The Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Kirov Region, the Udmurt Republic, and the Perm Territory fined a resident of the former Peat Massif of the Komsomolsky rural settlement in the Kotelnichsky district. The reason was the failure to comply with a previously issued order to eliminate violations of veterinary legislation.

      As reported by the agency, in April 2026, specialists conducted an unscheduled inspection of a personal subsidiary farm where pigs were kept, in conjunction with the prosecutor's office. During the inspection visit, it was found that the requirements specified in the order had not been met.

      The inspectors established that the pigs were kept in violation of veterinary rules. The farm's territory was not properly fenced, which did not prevent the intrusion of unauthorized people and animals. There was also no proper organization for the animals' walking, a disinfectant mat was absent at the entrance to the premises, and the walls of the pigsty did not meet established requirements.

      In addition, specialists identified violations in the storage of manure, the absence of documents for disinfection and rodent control, as well as the lack of special disinfected clothing and footwear for handling the animals.

      It is also noted that 40 pigs were not registered and did not have mandatory marking in the state animal accounting system.

      Following the inspection, the farm owner was issued an order to rectify the violations. However, the requirements were not met, and on June 8, the woman was held administratively liable under part 8 of Article 19.5 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation and fined.
