The water in the Chumovitsa River in Novovyatsk has turned green.
On June 4, employees of the Ministry of Natural Resources made a return trip to the Novovyatsky district of Kirov to collect water samples from the Chumovitsa River. The inspection was prompted by reports from local residents about a sudden greening of the water body. It turned out that a special organic dye, uranine, which is used to test the tightness of pipes, had entered the river. Specialists took water samples and sent them to the laboratory. Previously, we reported that the ministry's earlier visit to Novovyatsk was due to complaints about the appearance of an oil film on the river. At that time, they also took water samples, but no results have been reported yet.
