49 pilgrims of the Velikoretsky cross procession were evacuated.

      By morning, the procession reached the village of Gorokhovo from the Monastery — this is the main reference point for the third, most difficult day on the way to Velikoretskoe. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kirov Region clarified: over the previous day, the pilgrims covered 36 kilometers, and for the most part, they walked through fields and forests.

      Due to frequent rains, the road became muddy. This section, according to rescuers' assessments, caused the most problems for people.

      The combined rescue team operated in a regular mode: providing first aid for minor injuries and searching for those who fell behind. Some pilgrims had to be evacuated — all-terrain vehicles transported 49 people to locations where ambulances were waiting. The decision was made based on medical indications.

      By evening, the procession is expected to arrive in Velikoretskoe. There, the main event will take place — the divine liturgy and the rite of water blessing. In the village, fire crews and an operational group from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have already been organized.
