According to the Kirov branch of the Volga-Vyatka Bank of Russia, citing data from Rosstat, food prices in the region fell in April. At the same time, non-food goods and services continued to rise in price. Over the past 12 months, the price increase for food and non-food goods was lower than the overall inflation, while services became more expensive than the average level. The Bank of Russia noted that taking into account seasonal adjustments, prices in the Kirov region grew more slowly in April than the previous month. The situation was influenced by an increase in the supply of certain products and the strengthening of the ruble. Overall, annual inflation in the country also continued to slow down. According to Rosstat, the monthly price increase in April was significantly lower than in March. This is mainly due to the fact that some goods and services either became cheaper or increased in price significantly more slowly.
