A resident of Omsk activated an old number belonging to a Kirov resident and spent his money from the card.
A 26-year-old resident of the village of Mirny contacted the police. The man reported unauthorized access to computer information, fraud, and theft of money from his bank account. According to him, he had changed his SIM card a long time ago, but suddenly began receiving notifications from the bank about transactions he did not make. Someone used his card to pay for a purchase on a marketplace — 2,000 rubles. In addition, an unknown person took out a microloan in the victim's name for 3,000 rubles and accessed his social media account. All three facts have been recorded by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Orichevsky," and criminal cases have been initiated. Police officers found that the actions could have been carried out from the Omsk region. During a business trip, Orichev police, together with local colleagues, identified and detained the suspect — a 22-year-old resident of Omsk. It turned out that he gained access to the victim's unused phone number and used it for his own purposes. Investigative actions are currently being conducted with the suspect. The police are checking whether he is involved in similar crimes in the Kirov region and other areas.
