Travel from Kirov to St. Petersburg has increased by 13%.
On the Gorky Railway, the results of passenger departures for long-distance travel to the Northern Capital for the first four months of the year have been summarized. Growth has been recorded across all key routes, although the dynamics vary significantly.
From Kirov, 18,900 passengers departed for St. Petersburg. This is 13% more than in January-April 2025. A total of 7 trains operate between the city on the Vyatka River and the northern capital.
Nizhny Novgorod traditionally remains the leader in transportation volume — 40,800 people. The increase here was 9%. There are 6 direct and transit trains operating on this route.
Kazan showed a slight increase — 20,600 passengers, which is 0.5% higher than last year's level.
The most noticeable dynamics were demonstrated by Izhevsk. From the capital of Udmurtia, 8,000 people departed for St. Petersburg — an increase of 18% compared to 2025.
