Payments for orphans and foster parents have been increased.

      On May 21, a draft law was considered at the plenary session of the Legislative Assembly, which introduces amendments to the law "On Social Support for Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care, Persons from Among Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care, Children in Difficult Life Situations." It was adopted in two readings.

      The document increases the following payments by 10%: for the maintenance of orphans, for travel, for a child raised in a guardian/foster family with three or more children, as well as rewards for foster parents.

      The amounts of payments will be:

      for the maintenance of a child up to seven years old — 9,636 rubles (was 8,760 rubles);

      for the maintenance of a child from 7 to 18 years old — 9,972 rubles (was 9,065 rubles);

      for travel — 436 rubles (was 396 rubles);

      for a child raised in a family with three or more children under guardianship (custody), in a foster family — 1,771 rubles (was 1,610 rubles);

      monthly reward for foster parents for one child — 5,930 rubles (was 5,391 rubles), for two — 7,902 rubles (was 7,184 rubles), for three — 9,856 rubles (was 8,960 rubles). The reward for each subsequent child will be 2,957 rubles (was 2,688 rubles).

      During the voting, 36 deputies supported the initiative.
