A resident of Kirov reported to Newsler.ru that she received an email notification from the airline "Pobeda": flight DP348 Kirov — Sochi, which was supposed to depart on June 12, 2026, has been canceled. The specific reason was not mentioned in the letter, but they offered a refund. Fortunately, her ticket turned out to be refundable.
At first, she thought the cancellation was related to the repair of the runway at Pobedilovo Airport. But the dates did not match. According to official information, the airport is closed for major repairs until June 7. It is supposed to operate normally from June 8.
The woman called the airport information desk, where she was told: "We don't know anything. We have information that the repairs are until June 7." The woman added that an airport employee mentioned over the phone that there have been many calls from passengers asking about canceled flights, but the airport is "not involved."
Newsler.ru also inquired at the airport why the flight was canceled on June 12 if the runway would be ready by June 7, and they replied: "The reasons for flight cancellations need to be clarified with the airline. Currently, the official repair deadlines have not been extended. If the information changes, it will be published on the official airport website."
There is no public explanation yet from "Pobeda." In the airline's Telegram bot "Vitya," a standard phrase is given in response to inquiries about flight cancellations: passengers should keep an eye on notifications via email or phone, contact the call center, or use the feedback form.
The editorial office of Newsler.ru sent an official request to the press service of "Pobeda" asking for the specific reason for the cancellation of flight DP348 on June 12. They have not yet received a response.
Olga says she will be requesting a refund, although the situation worries her. According to her, many passengers currently do not understand what to do: "Everything is booked there too."
The airport itself has not yet made any new announcements regarding the extension of repairs. All official information is still limited to the date of June 7.
