The number of passengers on the Gorky Railway has increased.
The main growth was provided by suburban transport: over 9 million people used electric trains (+1.1%). Long-distance trains transported 2.7 million passengers (+0.7%).
Passenger turnover over four months exceeded 3 billion passenger-kilometers, increasing by 0.3%. At the same time, the long-distance indicator slightly decreased by 0.1%, while in the suburbs, it grew by 2.9%.
In April, nearly 3.1 million people departed from railway stations, which is 0.2% less than a year earlier. Meanwhile, the number of passengers on long-distance trains increased to 707 thousand (+2.9%), while suburban passengers decreased to approximately 2.4 million (-1%).
Passenger turnover in April amounted to 819 million passenger-kilometers, showing a growth of 3% compared to last year.
