A resident of the Zuevsky district nearly set the neighboring houses on fire.
Yesterday in the village of Zui (Zuevsky District), several houses nearly caught fire. The reason was human negligence in the conditions of a special fire safety regime. The owner of one of the household plots decided to burn trash. However, due to strong gusts of wind, the fire quickly spread to the dry vegetation from last year and began to spread towards the houses and outbuildings. Two fire crews from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia were dispatched to the scene. Rescuers promptly extinguished the fire over an area of 120 square meters. No one was injured, and the buildings survived. As clarified by the investigator of the supervisory and preventive work department, Leonid Kaisin, an administrative case has been initiated. The alleged culprit is the owner of the plot who violated the ban on burning trash. A special fire safety regime is in effect in the Kirov region. The violator faces a fine of 10,000 to 20,000 rubles. Rescuers remind: currently, lighting bonfires and burning waste is strictly prohibited. One careless step with fire — and the lives and homes of neighbors are at risk.

In the village of Zui, the landowner decided to get rid of waste the old-fashioned way — by burning it. But a strong wind had other plans: the flames spread to the grass and surged towards the residential buildings. The neighbors were a step away from losing their shelter.
