Voting is scheduled for September 20. The region will utilize 1,089 polling stations and additionally open 20 temporary ones in hospitals and detention centers. Recordings will be made around the clock. Before the voting begins, all premises will be inspected for anti-terrorism security. Dog handlers with service dogs will be involved in the inspections. After that, the polling stations will be placed under round-the-clock security by police officers. Contingency measures are also planned in case of emergencies: additional premises and even buses have been prepared where electoral documentation and commission members can be accommodated if necessary. A total of over 980,000 voters are registered in the Kirov region, of which more than 417,000 are in Kirov.
