In the Kirov region, a foreigner was detained who changed his name and illegally crossed the border.
The press service of the FSB of Russia for the Kirov region reported the detention of a citizen from one of the Central Asian countries. The man violated Russian legislation by illegally crossing the state border.
As established by the operatives, this individual had previously been officially banned from entering the Russian Federation. However, the foreigner found a way to circumvent the restriction — he changed his identifying information (full name and possibly other identification details) and then crossed the border.
During operational-search activities, employees of the Kirov FSB detained the violator. He is currently in custody.
Investigative authorities have initiated and fully investigated a criminal case against the detainee. The act is classified under part 2 of article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal crossing of the State border of the Russian Federation"). The sanction of this article provides for a punishment of up to four years of imprisonment for the violator.
