The eco-center in Kirov celebrated its second anniversary.

      The Minister of Environmental Protection of the Kirov Region, Timur Abashev, delivered a congratulatory speech. "I congratulate the entire team of the regional operator and the ecological center on their birthday. A lot of work has been done to raise the environmental literacy of residents and engage them in environmental activities," noted the minister. In a "question and answer" format, the General Director of AO "Kuprit," Ildus Gizatullin, spoke about the history of the site’s creation. According to him, two years ago, thanks to Sergey Voronin and Alexandra Sherstkova, the idea of a space uniting the residents of Kirov in caring for nature was realized. "We help residents get involved in the region's environmental agenda, and your interest is the best confirmation of that. Excursions, field eco-lessons, and our other initiatives receive a great response," added Gizatullin. The head of the Eco Center, Sergey Voronin, emphasized that the site has become an example of how a regional operator, society, government, and business can jointly implement waste separation in the region's economy. "The most pleasant thing is that other regions are interested in our experience," he noted. Visitors shared stories about how the Eco Center helped them acquire useful skills and find like-minded individuals. One of the regular guests mentioned that at the beginning of his journey in waste separation, he felt lonely, but after a year, he had found equally conscious residents. At the end of the evening, a symbolic passing of the flame from the leaders of the Eco Center to the guests took place. Alexandra Sherstkova, whose ideas formed the basis of the center's development concept, remarked: "The Eco Center shows that you can dream, act, and bring your ideas to life, as they will find support. There are many opportunities in our region."
