The Kirov colony released the convict to go home to resolve domestic issues.

The regime territory of correctional colony No. 1 temporarily released its ward. As reported by the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Kirov region, the convict was granted permission to leave the institution for a period of one day. The reason is the need to resolve personal domestic issues and to prepare in advance for employment after release.

Such a privilege is not available to everyone. By law, leave with exit is only granted to those who are diligent in their work and fulfill all duties without violations. The decision to issue a "ticket" to freedom is made personally by the head of the colony.

Before leaving through the gates, the man underwent a briefing, was issued an identification card of the established form, and was thoroughly explained that attempting to escape or violate the regime carries criminal liability. Nevertheless, the Federal Penitentiary Service emphasizes that such measures are one of the most effective ways to motivate convicts towards law-abiding behavior.

Control over the person on leave will be strict but remote. During the day, he is required to contact the duty officer of the institution once and to be at home strictly during certain hours. In addition, the colony staff will personally check on him at his place of residence.

The agency notes that even a short trip helps maintain socially useful connections and gives a person a chance to return to normal life after release, without wasting time on bureaucratic issues in the initial period of freedom.
