The detention of the Kirov flight became known last night. The reason: Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg temporarily suspended the acceptance and departure of flights. Rosaviatsia reported that restrictions were introduced to ensure flight safety. Earlier, local authorities announced a drone attack threat in the Leningrad region. Among other things, a Pobeda airline plane got "stuck" in St. Petersburg, which was supposed to take passengers to Kirov. Initially, it was reported that the departure was postponed to 1:55 AM. People had to stay in the airport building and wait. On social media, passengers share videos showing people sleeping on mats provided by the airport administration. This morning, the airline Pobeda announced that the flight to Kirov has been postponed to 12:30 PM on March 23 (arrival is expected at 2:08 PM). Whether it will be postponed again is unknown, but according to Rosaviatsia, the restrictions at Pulkovo have still not been lifted. In total, more than 50 flights are delayed at St. Petersburg Airport. 48 departures have been canceled due to the drone threat, the airport's press service reports. It is also worth noting that according to information from our airport's website, Pobedilovo, a flight from Naryan-Mar has also been delayed. Initially, the plane was supposed to arrive in Kirov at 12:05 PM, and now the time is set for 2:05 PM.
