In the Kotelnichsky district, a pig owner was fined for 43 unaccounted heads and unsanitary conditions.
Employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration conducted an unscheduled inspection of a personal subsidiary farm in the territory of the former Peat Massif in the Kotelnichsky District. The inspection visit, coordinated with the prosecutor's office, took place on February 12, 2026. The purpose was to determine whether the owner of the personal subsidiary farm had complied with the earlier issued directive.
As it turned out, the violations had not gone away. The veterinary rules for keeping pigs on the farm had still not been followed.
The inspectors noted that the territory was not properly fenced, which creates a risk of intrusion by outsiders and wild animals. The walls of the pigsty, contrary to requirements, were made of wood—such material does not withstand treatment with disinfectants and suffers from increased humidity. Manure is not removed and not stored for biothermal disinfection.
In addition, there was no disinfectant mat at the entrance to the premises, and the service personnel did not have clean, disinfected work clothes. The documents confirming the disinfection, deacarization, and deratization were also not provided by the owner.
The inspectors paid special attention to the accounting of livestock: 43 pigs were not identified—they did not have ear tags.
Since the directive to eliminate these violations remained unfulfilled, on March 19, 2026, the citizen was held accountable under part 8 of article 19.5 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation. The punishment was imposed in the form of a fine.
