On the evening of December 2, the Kirov police received a report of a missing 6-year-old girl from a kindergarten in the Druzhba neighborhood. According to law enforcement, the girl's mother, who had come to the kindergarten to pick up her younger child, briefly left the older daughter, and when she returned the child was gone. The parents and caregivers were unable to find the girl on their own, after which the woman contacted the police. All officers of the Kirov police department were involved in the search, including supervisors, district officers, patrol units and staff from the juvenile affairs division. They were given a description of the missing child. At about 7:30 p.m., a Kirov resident reported finding the girl in the entrance of his building in the "Metrogorod" area. It turned out that the child had gone to the bus station on her own and taken public transport to another district of the city. No unlawful actions were committed against the girl. The police thanked the citizen for his active civic stance and responsible attitude toward the child he had found.
