      The Kotel'nich Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office of the Kirov Region checked compliance with the contract system legislation during repairs to the basic general education school in the village of Makarye. The supervisory authority found that the contractor, an individual entrepreneur, had violated the deadlines for completing the capital repairs of the roof. According to data from the State Procurement website, the contract amounted to 1,875,110 rubles 17 kopecks (the initial price was 2,927,375 rubles). Because of the delay, the interdistrict prosecutor issued a representation to the contractor. In addition, by order of the prosecutor’s office the entrepreneur was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 17.7 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (Failure to comply with lawful demands of a prosecutor, investigator, inquirer or an official conducting proceedings in an administrative offence case). According to the regional prosecutor’s press service, the additional response measures helped ensure completion of the educational institution’s roof overhaul and remedy the identified violations.
