Employers in the Kirov Region no longer store personal data on paper.
Employers in the region are gradually switching to modern HRtech solutions to reduce recruiters' routine work and improve data security. According to hh.ru, 22% of companies already host applicants' resumes and personal data on their own servers, another 21% — in their own CRM (customer relationship management, i.e., "management of customer relationships"). About 10% use a cloud CRM provider. As a result, 52% of employers store data in digital form.
At the same time, 46% of companies still keep collecting resumes on paper the old-fashioned way. Nevertheless, according to Marina Khadina, head of development of one of hh.ru's projects, there is already a steady industry trend toward automation, which reduces the likelihood of data leaks and cuts down on recruiters' routine tasks.
Over the past year many companies have revised their personal data policies. 33% of employers have tightened control over sensitive information, 26% have begun, in general, to collect candidates' consent for data processing, and another 26% have limited the circle of employees with access to such information. 22% have moved data storage to Russian servers.
A small share of companies abandoned the personnel reserve (3%) or chose external CRM solutions (3%). Another 21% changed nothing, and 18% found it difficult to answer.
Most recruiters still collect consent to process personal data manually: 61% request it during in-person communication, 11% — only from candidates they are ready to make an offer to. This process is fully automated in only 9% of companies.
Since 2021 employers have been obliged to obtain candidates' consent for the processing, storage and dissemination of personal data. New amendments tightening the procedure for obtaining consents and introducing fines came into force in September 2024: for legal entities — from 300,000 to 700,000 rubles, for officials — up to 300,000 rubles.
