Kirov resident convicted for comments on social media
In Kirov a 43-year-old local resident was sentenced. He was found guilty of publicly calling for terrorism online.
Between April 2021 and February 2024 the man posted a series of comments on one of the social networks that contained calls to carry out terrorist attacks. The comments were visible to anyone. It was also reported that the Kirov resident was detained by transport police officers and the FSB. The court imposed a fine on the man. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.
The regional FSB office added that at the time of his arrest the convicted man worked at the regional branch of OJSC Russian Railways (RZD). He called for terrorist attacks targeting officials. The fine amounted to 350,000 rubles.
