Earlier, representatives of the Ministry of Ecology issued an order to the Vozhgaly butter-and-cheese plant to eliminate violations. They demanded that the plant bring the quality of its wastewater up to regulatory standards.
Recently, officials from the agency traveled to the village of Vozhgaly and carried out an inspection. They examined the treatment facilities from which wastewater is discharged into the Bystritsa.
It turned out that the order had not been fully carried out. As a result, the enterprise was issued a new order. It was also fined 105,000 rubles.
The Ministry of Ecology added that the plant invested about 100 million rubles in the construction of new biological treatment facilities. This made it possible to substantially improve the quality of the effluent and reduce the input of pollutants into the river. Concentrations of some substances decreased by as much as seven times.
