      Over the past weekend, from November 21 to 23, 11 road accidents occurred in the Kirov Region. According to the press service of the regional Interior Ministry, 18 people sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the crashes.

      In addition, traffic police carried out mass checks and recorded 758 traffic law violations. Inspectors paid special attention to intoxicated drivers: 40 people were caught driving drunk, some of whom refused to undergo medical testing. Another 44 drivers were found to be without licenses — they had either never obtained them or had been deprived of them earlier.

      The agency reminds that driving under the influence entails license suspension for a period of 1.5 to 2 years and a fine of 45,000 rubles. Inspectors urge drivers to be attentive on the roads and not to get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol.
