Today at the plenary session of the Legislative Assembly awards were presented to young residents of the Kirov Region — Alexander Veprikov and Sofia Anisimova — and to their parents. Alexander studies at the Omutninsk Polytechnic College; Sofia attends a school in Bogorodskoye. Governor Alexander Sokolov noted that these people “displayed courage, heroism, firmness of spirit, did not lose their composure during the fire and saved their families.” He added that he is proud to live near them and that they have become an example for everyone around them.
