At the end of October the woman found a Telegram channel offering car delivery services. She contacted a "manager," discussed a suitable make and model, after which she was asked to pay a deposit. The Kirov resident transferred 1,514,000 rubles, using her own savings and borrowed funds.
Later the "manager" demanded an additional 417,000 rubles allegedly to pay customs. However, the bank blocked the transfer. After that the woman suspected fraud, since the seller gave no guarantees and stopped responding.
