Charushin: "If it weren't for social media, we wouldn't have learned about the mass brawl in Kirov"
Today Andrey Charushin, who spoke at a meeting of the Duma commission, was asked about the recent mass brawls in Kirov. And about whether security should be increased in Kirov Park, near which one of the scuffles took place on Oktyabrsky Prospekt. He replied that it all started not in the park but in a drinking establishment selling beer. The patrons disagreed, which ultimately led to the mass brawl.
Charushin added: "If it weren't for social media, we wouldn't have known ourselves. Because not a single witness reported it to the police. We looked for them ourselves. We saw it on social media, opened a criminal case, and began searching. We found all the perpetrators immediately — half were ours, from Leninsky, half from another district. But the victims were very difficult to find." He said a similar situation was observed with the second brawl as well.
